Founder & Managing Director

Wendy Cheung

Wendy is a CPA-qualified business leader with more than 26 years of experience across finance, commercial operations, supply chain and business ownership.

Her career has been built around understanding how businesses actually perform — what drives margin, where cash gets tied up, how operational decisions affect financial outcomes, and what needs to change to create sustainable value.

Commercially grounded. Operationally focused.

Throughout her corporate career, Wendy has worked at the centre of major capital and commercial decisions. She has assessed commercial viability, built business cases, modelled scenarios and supported more than $200 million of capital investment, spanning national network restructures, facility automation and major equipment upgrades.

That experience shaped a practical approach to investment: understand the numbers, understand the operation behind them, and make decisions based on what the business can realistically deliver.

Wendy has also led and supported transformation and value-creation programs — redesigning processes, embedding continuous improvement and taking teams through change with structured capability rollout. Her work has included identifying and delivering more than $3 million a year in savings, from initial opportunity identification through to implementation and tracking.

Experience beyond the corporate environment

Wendy's experience extends well beyond large organisations.

She has built and managed a multi-million-dollar property portfolio across residential and commercial assets, including residential subdivision and construction and purpose-built rooming houses. Managing the portfolio through expansion and consolidation required continual assessment of capital allocation, development opportunities, risk and what assets to hold or realise.

She has also founded and operated an award-winning e-commerce business, managing the business end to end — from product and brand development through overseas manufacturing, logistics, pricing, marketing and sales.

These experiences provide a different perspective: the ability to look at a business not just through financial statements, but through the decisions, systems, people and commercial activities that produce those numbers.

How this shapes CT Capital Management

Wendy brings that experience into every investment CT Capital makes.

From acquisition and diligence, through to operational improvement, value creation and growth, the focus is on understanding the business deeply, identifying where value can be unlocked and then having the capability to execute.

The objective is not simply to own good businesses.

It is to build stronger businesses — with better systems, stronger economics and greater capacity for sustainable growth.

What we bring to a business.

Capital is only the starting point.

Our focus is on what happens after acquisition — strengthening the business, improving performance and building the foundations for sustainable growth.

CT Capital Management brings hands-on commercial, operational and project expertise to businesses where disciplined execution can unlock their next stage of growth.

Commercial discipline

We bring greater visibility and control over the numbers that drive the business.

From pricing and margins to cash flow, forecasting and scenario modelling, we establish the financial discipline needed to make better commercial decisions and allocate capital with purpose.

Operational improvement

We look beyond the P&L to understand what is really driving performance.

Cost structures, procurement, product costing, production economics and supply chain are assessed as an integrated system — identifying where complexity, inefficiency or leakage can be removed and where margins can be strengthened.

Turning opportunities into execution

Good ideas only create value when they are delivered.

We have experience taking complex initiatives from diagnosis through to implementation — setting priorities, sequencing work, establishing accountability and embedding new capability into the business.

Systems, process & performance

As businesses grow, informal processes and founder-led decision making can become constraints.

We strengthen the underlying operating platform through clearer processes, SOPs, automation, workflow redesign, management reporting and meaningful KPIs. The objective is simple: less friction, better visibility and a business that can perform without relying on one person.

Building for growth

Value creation is not simply about cutting costs.

We look for opportunities to improve the commercial engine of the business — strengthening revenue quality, improving margins, expanding capability, developing new channels and creating the operational capacity to grow.

Respect for what already works

Every business has been built by someone for a reason.

We start by understanding what works, what matters to customers and what has made the business successful. Change is targeted where it creates value — protecting the people, relationships and culture that should remain at the heart of the business.

Experience across the value chain

Our operating experience spans:

Manufacturing & FMCG

Production planning, costing, procurement, supply chain and national distribution.

Trades & specialist services

Commercial operations, financial discipline, process improvement and scalable operating structures.

Property & construction

Development feasibility, residential subdivision and construction, commercial property development and management of builders, trades and contractors.

E-commerce & consumer brands

Product development, international sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, sales and end-to-end brand operations.

From acquisition to value creation

Our approach is hands-on where it matters.

01

Understand

Establish a clear view of the economics, operations and opportunities.

02

Prioritise

Identify the initiatives that can make the greatest difference to performance and enterprise value.

03

Execute

Turn the plan into action through disciplined project management, process improvement and capability building.

04

Measure

Track performance through financial reporting, KPIs and clear accountability.

05

Scale

Build systems and operating capability that allow the business to grow without simply adding complexity.

The goal is not to change a business for the sake of change. It is to make a good business stronger.
